Help with Kuncaged/Nickel menu and Linux Fedora 38

Hello, I hope that someone can help me.
I've installed Fedora 38 on a new partition, and my Libra 2 can't connect anymore to Calibre, it appears as Calibre wireless service is not enabled.
It's not a Calibre issue, because with old Fedora 37 it works as always.
I tried 6.25 and 6.29 calibre version, same behavior on both distros, Fedora 37 ok, Fedora 38 no.
I tried launching Calibre from command line, in order to catch errors, but nothing appears.
Any idea?

Do you actually mean Fedora 39 (which was just released)?

I just updated my machines to Fedora 39, and it seems that there are issues with many of the python packages (e.g., py3status wasn't working properly with mpris2). I haven't had a chance to figure out exactly what's going on, though.

Update: a quick search finds similar issues with other python packages, like this

No, I mean Fedora 38, probably Fedora 39 has come a few days after my installation.
But on the thread you linked, someone says that on fc 38 all things work.

This is a test partition, I could try to install last Manjaro and check if Kobo uncaged works

Just for give you a feedback, with last Manjaro release Calibre works, probably because libraries are updated as you suggest.
Unfortunately this distro became a bit unstable, imho.

You need to get calibre from the source (the calibre website as repositories make a right mess with calibre).

Ehh, I still find Fedora the best balance of being up-to-date and stable, especially for desktops/laptop usage. I do most development within containers so I'm not affected by the host toolchain versions.

I still use Debian for servers, though.

My preferred distro was Slackware, but is discontinued from years.
I'm still installing all app on Manjaro, all things work well until I decide to put also vlc, and now I can see the hell of conflicting libraries..

@JSWolf I split one hard disk on more partitions in order to use different distros at the same time, and one of these is dedicated to run shared binary app, as Calibre, adb or Java
