need help..with kobo libra 2

I just purchased a kobo libra 2 e-reader to replace my older kobo.. and I cannot figure out how to import my folder of epub ebooks collection that I have and successfullly used to read on my older kobo. I am away from home and left my old kobo home and so had to purchase a new one.. the libra 2, which arrived today.. I have my ebook library of files with me on my computer, but cannot get the folder successfully imported onto my libra 2 so that I can access the ebooks.. any suggestions? [am limited in my technological savvy so need a clear and concise step by step instruction thanks.

When you say eBook library, do you mean calibre library? If you do mean calibre, what version calibre and what OS and version on the computer?

With anything sideloaded I tend to use Calibre, but as long as they are formatted correctly and stripped of any DRM I believe you can just plug your device into your computer, create a folder on the device through windows explorer and copy them all into there. The ereader should pick up any new additions.

Are you using the default in calibre that creates directories based on author name and eventually leaves you with lots of empty directories?

Not sure if this link below will be bookmarked to the place on the page but if it does not, do a search of "How do I move my Calibre data from one computer to another?". I move my Calibre data files from my laptop to desktop PC regularly as backup using a USB drive to transfer the files and the process is easy to import/export the files. Note, ensure you follow the instructions and create a new folder ahead of the import/export process to store your files. I just name my folder "New Folder" and have that folder saved in a place that you can find easily. Do not save it in a location on your desktop PC where it will be overwritten! I have the folder in my Books folder on my PC. Also, if you want to save older data files, just ensure you name the folder something other than "New Folder" and keep the "New Folder" only for current copies of the Calibre database. I rename my old folders in this format "New folder_Calibre_2023-11-27" but use what works best for your organization system.

The OP wants to move their books to their Kobo, not to another computer.
