Seems to me the simplest solution is to add an Edi tnote button at the bottom next to ok and cancel that edits the note for whatever the current item is. So users who dont realize that the usual cell based editing is available, can click th ebutton.

OK. I am working in these files anyway so I can add this.

If this is needed for notes, why not also links?

Feel free. As for links, I would imagine, its clear they are editable in the usual way as they field is either blanks for has a link in it. With notes there's just a checkmark, so it may be confusing to some that the field is also editable in the usual way. That said I wont object to their being a button for links as well.

I can confirm and I've seen that happening on previous versions with various plugins. Action Chains columns width don't get reset, though...

Yeah, same here, though it either didn't happen or wasn't so noticable before. Neither does anything in Calibre itself (e.g. the jobs dialog)

the jobs dialog is fine for me, i.e. it saves the column's widths...

(I'd guess this is a combination of a Qt glitch with some code missing/different across the plugins)

Content Server, Calibre 7 beta 2 on Windows

The confirmation popup box (to choose "read or delete" in the Downloaded Books page, or "Are you sure to delete?" in Library Page) is now aligned left. I think it was (and should be) aligned center.

A request: I would like to move the "Book Page in Library" (under Content Server Viewer > Main Menu > Go To) to the Main Menu of the Content Server Viewer (next to the Home | Libary buttons, there is still room there). The reason: Under Goto there is already the Metadata. And it turns out that I use the Book Page most of the cases (the only issue is that it would open in a new tab, other than that, I don't see the need for the Metadata button); moving it up to the parent level would save time.

6) Show note dialog: Fix links not being activated when clicked
7) Content server: Book details: Open links in comments fields in the same window rather than a new window
8) Show the pencil icon instead of the checkmark for notes in the manage X dialogs

All good, but I can't test click any URL's I embed in notes I create via the Category Editor without closing it and popping a Book details window.

Suggestion 1: a Show note button and context menu item. And if we had a Show Note, with clickable links, why not a Show Link that's clickable.

Suggestion 2: This has been bugging me for years.

Rename the following to Apply items: xxxxxxx



and rename the following to Manage items: xxxxxxx
