1. Double-finger tap in the bottom right corner of the screen.

After successfull jailbreaking a Kindle 11th Gen (2023) PW5 (5.16.2.1.1), Serial Number G0021... I ran into a already known issue:

Failed to remount rootfs RO, waiting . . .
Really failed to remount rootfs RO -_-

while installing the last missing pieces to the happiness:

My only reason to jailbreak my Kindle (10th gen) is to downgrade to 5.13.6.

It has 5.14.3.2 installed but jailbreak does not work. If i upgrade to 5.16.2.1.1, could I downgrade to 5.13.6 easily? What's the best method?

I'm so excited for this! I finally have Collection Manager back, which is the only thing I really needed the jailbreak for.

During the jailbreaking process, I lost my Kindle's registration information. I connected to WiFi for a brief minute to get the device registered again, and then back into airplane mode.

(Incidentally, KUAL didn't want to display until my Kindle was registered for some reason)

Now when I go to the home screen, it tries to get me to connect to WiFi "to download a free update that will enhance your reading experience for Japanese." I've checked and my Japanese content is already displaying correctly. Is there a way to either remove this message, or else sideload the update that it's trying to get me to download? I'm afraid that if I connect to WiFi again, it's gonna update the firmware version and then I'm going to lose the jailbreak.

Cheers guys, this thread got my 10th gen paperwhite v5.16.2.1.1 running kual + koreader.

My process was:
1) follow languagebreak instructions.
2) copy kual-mrinstaller-1.7.N-r19298 folders to root
3) install JailBreak-1.16.N-FW-5.x-hotfix via log mrpi
4) install KUAL-coplate 5b5d1d2-20231104 via log mrpi

It moans about ro filesystem errors but works anyway.

5) install koreader-kindlepw2-v2023.10
