In a lot of cases where something like that doesn't make sense, the answer is either lack of thought or outright stupidity.

The opposite can happen. One series I looked at from a friend's recommendation has the first book available wide but the rest of the series is only available from Amazon though they are not currently in KU.

Well, many self-published authors have said that most of their sales come from Amazon, the rest are negligible. So they don't bother to sell elsewhere.

Personally, I don't care where I buy a book, as long as DRM can be removed. And it can still be removed from Kindle books, even without an eink Kindle. It's not as if there's no way to convert them (yet, at least).

He is. In the books Reacher is 6'6"

What can happen is that an author switches publishers midway through a series and the books with the original publisher are not in eBook and the books with the second publisher are available as eBooks. What also sometimes happens is that with publisher 1, some of the books are out-ot-print.

I think he's actually said to be 6'5" but in either case--6'6" or 6'5", he's larger than Ritchson (sp?). Taller, I should say, not necessarily "larger," larger being, well, fungible and subject to the hearer's interpretation as to meaning.

My take on Reacher's size and shape, always, was more like Kurt Rambis, or the like, rather than Arnie Jr. Tall, rangy, but not scrawny.

I remember the first time I stood next to a pro ball player (baseball). Y'know, you expect roundball (basketball)players to be big, and of course, footballers and all that, but you don't really GET just how damned large baseballers are, until you are right next to them. It's surprising.

My god I am getting very sick of seeing those compilations of unrelated oneshots with 5000 fandoms and 5 zillion tags posted on Archive of Our Own. Just post them as separate stories ffs, I'm not going digging through a bunch of poorly-labelled chapters trying to figure out which is which.

Please decide which variant of English you are using and stick to it throughout the book. I've been reading a book which does a strange mishmash of both British and U.S. English - for example, it uses harbour for the singular, but harbors for the plural.
