Footer doesn't display in fullscreen

Hello, I had installed calibre way back in 2018 and while reading I can certainly remember that I could see how many pages are left in the book at the bottom right but now after installing the latest version, I can't see it in the bottom right hand side whenever I enter the fullscreen, any help is appreciated.

I apologize in beforehand if I posted this in the wrong section.

Ok, so I am using the latest version 6.28.1 on windows 10 pro x64 bit and I have no idea what's a calibre viewer, my apologies

And even after setting what you've mentioned in the preferences section, I still can't view the position of the book during fullscreen as you can see from the below image

Sorry but your second image does not show the bottom of the viewer screen.

And use the paperclip tool or Manage Attachments button to attach the image or post image from Imgur using URL not IMG unless you actually have the image's URL.

For your first pair of images, the Imgur URL is

I have followed your instructions but still nothing shows up in the bottom right corner during full screen

Hmnn Guys.
It might be broken completely. I just tried it in normal view.

I had footers (all 3), and I set a header.

Nothing showing ( had not noticed before). (and there does not seem to be reserved space for them.

W10 C6.28.1

Perhaps you could show the full screen instead of a fragment? If that image is your full screen, it's a rather odd screen resolution. Since you are showing the text as white on black, how are you setting that? Setting the colour scheme to black in the Colors preference? If other method is used, could be the footer be displaying in black on black? I was also noticing that your right margin settings are not showing.

I've attached an image of the viewer displaying a book full screen with white text on black for comparison plus your two images. Since the last time I played with this a few month back, it appears that imgur no longer allows [IMG] to display an image.

That's thing, I can't capture it using sniptool on windows 10 and I assumed even after minimizing the tab to window mode, it should display the position of the book and to answer your second question I have not done anything besides changing the color scheme set in preferences to system mode.

Did you set snipping tool mode to Window?
(your system may behave different than my dual monitor one does)
BTW is your Display scale set to 100% in windows?

FWIW I still do not have any footer or headers showing, even tho set.

Try using the PrintScreen key to capture the entire screen, paste it to the image program of your choice and then save it. I also use the Windows Snipping Tool and it will allow me to select the entire screen just less convenient.

Have you tried disabling GPU acceleration? See Qt WebEngine Debugging and Profiling . What you want to do is to set a environment variable called QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS with the value set to --disable-gpu which seems to help with some odd issues with the viewer and video drivers.

Try changing the colour scheme to a non-system mode (black, white, whatever) and see if that shows the progress though on my system, it makes no difference. If so, we will know a bit more about what your issue is.

yes and my display is also set 100% in full screen. I meant to say windowed mode and as you can also reproduce the same issue on your end, I think it might be a bug, just a guess. So If it's how should I go about on reporting it?
