Reviewing the protocols for a research project that I have to take before the IRB this afternoon. I hate IRB reviews. Bunch of little schoolgirls. Argh.

why do i get the idea that perhaps the lounge has taken over your subconscious... ? well, if that's true, it's clearly for the best !

How do you know my subconscious hasn't taken over the lounge?

I also forgot to mention that the squid's adopted daughter, an electric jellyfish, attended the wedding as well (actually, she was in a sort of force-field perambulator), and accompanied the happy couple on their honeymoon.

I've been considering taking a fiction writing class this summer, to give me some deadlines to write against, but I really don't know if I'll have time. I've got a lot going on already.

actually i *do* recall who introduced the squid, so this premise seems quite as plausible to me as mine.

ah, i feel your pain. i've been successfully procrastinating painting my kitchen (and also the living room, and the minuscule entry, and the bathroom ceiling needs it too...) for several months now (no point in trying to paint when it's cold and damp, right ? it will never dry ! and you don't want all those fumes if you can't open the windows !) but if the weather improves i'll soon have to find a new excuse... (possibilities i'm considering : "but i don't have a ladder !" "well, it does look like rain though..." "i'm going to need some safety goggles first.")

as for installing internet at home, that is possibly one of the most infuriating activities i can imagine, when it is going badly. who is your FAI ?
