Considering my sister's very set in what she wants I'm letting her take the lead. And in which town she wants to live differs by the day. I wouldn't mind Gouda, it's got a better vibe than Utrecht, not as touristy, and the people are nice and of course cheese. But I'm not too picky, I also loved Amersfoort and Woerden. It all seems nicer (and more spacious) than Utrecht.

All I'm hoping for is a bedroom that's a reasonable size. But if that isn't meant to be it is what it is and I won't complain.

Hopefully your sister will take your views into account even though she is funding. I think some careful thought is needed about which town is best, and take into account all the transport timings if she is bothered by how long it takes to get to work.

I'm not sure if we discussed it here. My sister and I did. But the bedrooms are on the small side and the weirdly shaped ones will be hard to furnish.

Not much interesting has come on the market the last couple of days. There was one in Nieuwegein I liked, but my sister didn't. The weekend is always slow with new houses. I'm keeping my fingers crossed the one in IJselstein is good.

Today is the last day of our vacation. It was nice, with a good mixture of going on trips and relaxing in our cottage. We only had two rainy days, temperatures were high for the time of year. Tomorrow morning we're heading home. I'll spend the rest of the day unpacking and doing laundry.

Yeah...maybe. I thought that IF you were in the neighborhood, it might be worth seeing.
