I absolutely love my kindle scribe I look for reasons to make notes I mean, I note and journal about all sorts of gibberish, just for the sake of writing on it

First post here, although I've lurked the forums for a while now.
I'd just like to say that epub is an awful format, and I cannot believe InDesign is still this bad as an authoring tool. I have been designing print books for almost a decade now, but learning how to make epubs has driven me to the brink of madness several times over the past couple of years. Why does it have to be this difficult? I've been reading the documentation of the blitz ebook project, and from what little I could understand, authoring CSS that's compatible with most reading systems is incredibly difficult and requires years of dedicated research. That's insane. And I don't even understand how to use the tools they developed because the documentation is way too technical for me to understand. That goes for a lot of epub resources. Lastly, thank you to all the users on here who answer questions. I've gotten a lot of help from reading old threads here. |

One of my online surveys asked how many children I had living with me. One of the options was "don't know."

I've been researching about quilting, in particular a method known as "quilt as you go." Easily 90% of the videos I've looked at were flat out useless to me. I did find 2 YouTube channels by quilters who seem to know what they are doing when making videos. But geez, so much drek. And I realize a person's voice can't be helped. But the vocal burn and the high pitched voices send my scrambling for the stop button. Or the giggling. Lots of giggling in sewing videos. Not sure why. |

On both my KOBO Elipsas I just now noticed you can change background (aka more templates) and I had the 1st generation about 6 months and the 2E a month and just now discovered this. AND I had the Sage for over a year now. I feel stupid for I thought I had to buy a 2E to get them. Wasted $$ on an second device. LOL Oh well, you can never have too many toys I guess. I just never paid attention to the "..." on the top right of the basic template for a menu. LOL. I am so stupid sometimes LOL

I don't even have the password to my Photobucket account anymore. It probably says something that Gmail's started sending the emails directly to spam. |

Was it REALLY necessary to blow up EVERY SINGLE PHONE IN THE UNITED STATES with a practice alarm?!?!?! How does that help anything?

Here in Canada, every alert is sent as a presidential (highest-level) alert. Parents halfway across the province get into a custody battle? Nuclear siren at 3am rather than something at a more appropriate level. Leads to sleep deprivation and people just ignoring the alerts later on. Ugh.

No, it wasn't necessary.
But still it tells you that these alerts work on phones without SIM cards and without service. In the US, an old discarded phone without service can still call 911 and receive alerts. |

The idea is good. But, if my phone didn't get the alert, how would I notice something I didn't hear? And who would I report it to? It seems silly.
