Where are you looking for the summary? Under Details? Or are you embedding the summary as a jacket in the ebook?

Do you have calibre configured for automatic metadata management? |

As @theducks said, you need a second connection after the books have been imported to send the metadata. The synopsis is taken from the Comments visible in the Book Details pane in calibre.

You also need to have calibre set to automatic metadata management (check under Sending books to device in calibre preferences) and in the KoboTouch or KoboTouchExtended driver configuration, you need to have Update metadata on the device and Update metadata on Book Details pages checked. See the attached images. You can disregard the Subtitle and Book Stats entries. |

			Hi

thanks for thinking with me. See the attached files. Checked your suggestions but the seem to be ok. The only thing other than your screenprint was that the metadata management was set to manual in stead of automatic . Changed that to automatich but no result

If you have KoboUtilities installed, you might want to try connecting your Kobo, selecting all the books that show as on device and then using the Update metadata in device library to force an update of the transferred metadata.

After you set metadata management to automatic, did you plug your Kobo into the computer with calibre running with your library loaded?
