Well, hell, that's sorta what I did, dumb-a$$ that I was. I didn'tl in fact, think it wouldn't happen to me--I thought it would, as my Gran (she after whom I take, like, every single thing that ever occurred to her, health-wise) but... it (her case) wasn't so bad.

She controlled it with some lido patches and all that. I foolishly didn't realize that getting it once would NOT immunize you (DUH) and well... then, I GOT IT. And holy mother of blankety-blank-blank-blank, the worst thing ever. As you all remember my whingey whiney crying self.

I think you're right, though, DNSB. You can't lead the proverbial horse. Or, you can, but ixnay on the inking-dray. Poor Dad o'Rumpel!

Ugh, the one litter my fussy cat will actually use isn't eligible for free shipping anymore. I can't afford $60+ for shipping either (especially since rent and other bills are also going up).

An elderly checkout lady I don't know from Adam (Eve?) insisted on referring to me as Poppy/Poppi several times today. I've no idea why, or what it might mean. It doesn't annoy me as much as hon|honey|sweetie, I guess, but I've never understood the compulsion to address adult strangers with cutesy nicknames. It's not like names (real or otherwise) are needed in such an exchange. "Do you have a courtesy card" and "that'll be $19.79" and "have a nice day" will suffice, thank you.

Oddly, I just checked again - there's a 'free shipping' listing available, just kind of hidden. I'd have to order it separarely from the monthly subscribe & save order though, and throw in a few random items (chocolate bars are always good filler items - both for Amazon orders and the stomach) to make it eligible for free shipping.

I get 18 pound bags. There's also a 40 pound bag but I already feel like I'm being an ass to the delivery drivers. (Unfortunately, I can't carry anything heavy while also using a cane. )

Those 40 Lb bags seem heavier than a mere 40 pounds. I assume that's because of the density. But they're a beast.
