I hope this is not too out of date (I'm using 3.48 because I'm on an ooooold Mac running 10.12.2 - I know, I know - but it's my last Mac and it still - mostly - works):

I'm trying to update my AO3 password in my personal.ini (stronger pw) and I'm getting the error msg:

Otherwise, I'd need to see it. There's a button for getting a 'safe' copy of personal.in without passwords. But see this recent post about posting personal.ini.

Two solutions:

1. Double up the % to %% to escape it.
2. Don't put % in your passwords.

I'm trying to add the following story to calibre: https://innread.com/novel/my-blood-m...hapter-40.html so I can get updates. I'm not up on all the politics but I did a search on duckduckgo of every place the story appears (and it's about a dozen) and all of them have been removed from fanfiction's list of supported sites at one time or another. If someone was stealing a story and posting it elsewhere I'd assume there would be one supported location of the story. Can someone clue me in?

As you figured out, innread.com is not a site supported by FFF.

And this isn't an appropriate forum to ask for help finding specific stories. I would recommend forums/threads devoted to that genre/fandom.

FYI, FFF is supporting fewer translation / novel site for a few different reasons:

1. They tend to be more complex, to the point of being difficult or even effectively impossible to support in FFF.
2. I don't read these sites and don't have any interest in supporting them. There hasn't been a lot of interest from other developers either, in part because of 3:
3. I don't want to include sites that carry copyrighted material that might potentially cause legal issues. Here's an old discussion about it.

Added it to my ini with only the genre and ships tag and it works like a charm, now it only shows the tags on my kindle I wanted under genre =)

Anybody use Firefox with Multi-Account Containers extension?

We just figured out over on github (#985) that it adds a parameter to browser cache keys that prevents FFF from reading Firefox browser cache if you are using a 'container' tab when loading ffnet pages.

Might explain some of the otherwise inexplicable browser cache failures we've seen.

interesting - but not surprising, if the point of the extension is to sandbox the tabs. Do you think it can be fixed in FFF, or the advice is 'don't use container tabs'?

The parameter adds a 'userContextId=X' to the cache key scheme, where X is a number based on which configured 'container' is being used.

If people use it a lot, I may add a configurable setting for it, but it would have to include the number. But my inclination (and the answer for now) is 'don't use container tabs'.

In theory, we could also go back to scanning the entire cache for entries with URLs we may care about, but I don't really want to.

I use Firefox with MAC but I don't use a container for Ao3. Firefox' site isolation is enough for me and I don't have multiple Ao3 accounts to need a container for each.

If this is done, make it configurable? I don't have much desire to go back to that old slow cache scanning either.
