That sounds like a blocked script / script failure on your browser. If it wasn't supported it wouldn't be on the menu.

Possibly Amazon Support is refering to download at purchase time, which is gone ages ago. You have to go after purchase to Content & Devices (exact text varies per market place).

Amazon Search is totally broken and their "Contact us" is slightly broken.

That and "Deliver or Remove From Device" aren't loading for me.

I've tried multiple browsers.

I tried 1 book I just bought from Amazon and 1 I bought 3 days ago. Both downloaded to for my Kindle in Firefox, Edge, Chrome and Safari (MacOS in a VM). This was from Amazon Canada.

I still have the ability to Download and Transfer via USB, but Calibre no longer does the DEDRM on import. I've checked that I have all the latest scripts. Anyone else having this issue, or should I just be digging into my own setup?

For same Kindle as has the serial ID in the plugin?
If you have selected a different Kindle you need to copy/paste its ID from My Devices.

Thank you! Apparently the serial ID got wiped from my Calibre setup for some reason, and that's one thing it never occurred to me to check. I'll check that first, next time.

Hello. First time here. I've succesfully installed Kindle 1.17 by reading this post and converted many PDFs earlier this year. Now I've had to get more ebooks and the covers and book titles are loaded on Kindle 1.17 on my PC, but it doesn't download it. It says Kindle needs an update to visualize the content. But we know if we update Kindle software, Calibre won't work.

What shoul I do?

What I did was this:

1. Bought the CHEAPEST e-ink Kindle I could find.
2. Using the serial number printed on the outside of the box, I entered it into the eink Kindle configuration tab of the DeDRM plug-in
3. Downloaded the Kindle books using the Download & Transfer via USB option in the More Actions menu of each book listed in Digital Content under Content & Devices in your Amazon account
4. I saved them to a folder I named Kindle via USB
5. I then imported the books into Calibre.

Don't use a K1, K2, DX or DXG and update other old ones ones to firmware that adds azw3, or else you only get old mobi format downloads (basic azw or mobi).
