In order to use Firefox with Book Bale, I had to disable my add blocker on the site. Now it is working.

I do wish Book Bale had a sort by author. That would make it easier to find books I want.

Yeah I got that message first few times I tried to registered.
I went back later and it finally worked and I did get an email.

It sounds like their website is broken.

It has mostly older stuff by authors like Jack L. Chalker, L. Sprague de Camp, Robert J. Sawyer, Jeffrey A. Carver, Robert A. Heinlein, and many more as far as Science fiction goes. A lot of them I don't have in ebook form and it be worth it for a while to get the ones I am missing.
I not sure if the collection is static or if books will be added and/or removed over time?

I didn't find other stuff that interest me, but it's deifnitely worth the sale price.

Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson is $1.99 at Amazon, B&N and Kobo

Quote:
Quicksilver is the story of Daniel Waterhouse, fearless thinker and conflicted Puritan, pursuing knowledge in the company of the greatest minds of Baroque-era Europe, in a chaotic world where reason wars with the bloody ambitions of the mighty, and where catastrophe, natural or otherwise, can alter the political landscape overnight.

It is a chronicle of the breathtaking exploits of "Half-Cocked Jack" Shaftoe -- London street urchin turned swashbuckling adventurer and legendary King of the Vagabonds -- risking life and limb for fortune and love while slowly maddening from the pox.

And it is the tale of Eliza, rescued by Jack from a Turkish harem to become spy, confidante, and pawn of royals in order to reinvent Europe through the newborn power of finance.

A gloriously rich, entertaining, and endlessly inventive novel that brings a remarkable age and its momentous events to vivid life, Quicksilver is an extraordinary achievement from one of the most original and important literary talents of our time.

And it's just the beginning...

Book Bale's intention is to add more books over time as they sign more agreements with authors/publishers. How successful they'll be in adding new contents, I don't know.

Just the Adam Troy Castro books will pay for my first two months subscription, so I'm happy.

Agreed; their library browsing in general is pretty awful. Hopefully that'll improve over time.

Simple wish: the list of authors should be hyperlinked and let you view all of an author's works in their library.

Basic stuff. You can't even click on an author name when viewing a book.
Consider emailing them a suggestion. They should also fix the login issues we mentioned - I kept getting booted back to the main login page while browsing.

Do they have his Rings of the Master, Wonderland Gambit, G.O.D. Inc. books? Or The Devil's Voyage? I haven't seen them yet at Amazon, but making sure I didn't miss something.

Just use the search bar located just above the book list to search for authors.

I tried that.

Example: I searched for Piers Anthony, got results of 29 books. Three of those are anthologies with stories by Piers, the other 26 are not related to his work at all including some Brian Herbert and even a couple of Regency romances.

Yeah, finding books needs some serious work.
