It rainy this morning. Since 7.30 am more than 17mm of rain has already fallen and it's only 9.15 am at the moment. But it's raining less hard and the afternoon should be sunny and dry with temperatures of around 23℃.

I need to run a couple of errands, I'll probably go out when it's still raining; there will be less people about than in the afternoon.

Back to upper 90's F with deathly humidity levels.

Took my morning walk very early - temp was ok (low 70's) but humidity was so bad I still sweated through my T-shirt.

Just spent 20 minutes in the basement waiting out a tornado warning. There were two tornadoes in Ocean County, just south of here, a couple of days ago so we take these things seriously. I grew up here in New Jersey not far from here and can't remember ever having a tornado in the area. Now, we get a few per year -- and take them seriously.

Glad you are safe. Tornadoes are absolutely no joke.

We are currently under a heat advisory until 8pm. We are expecting a heat index of 105, with over 50% humidity the whole day. I'm not having any of that nonsense. I made all efforts to make sure I could stay home today and not have to venture out into the oven.

Sigh ... humidity in NC in August -- took my walk at 7:30 am - already/still 80 F with 85% humidity - just standing still makes you sweat - another dangerously hot scorcher today with severe storms this afternoon ...

Went for my morning walk early today. It was only 20° them. Now up to 23° with a promise of 31° (feels like 34°) this afternoon.

This afternoon it got up to almost 25℃, it was a mostly sunny day with a warm breeze. It's now 11pm and it's slowly cooling down, 19.4℃ at the moment.

It was fairly humid and going by the predictions this will only get worse in the coming days. Tomorrow should be similar to today, maybe a little bit cooler. But from Friday until at least Wednesday we're getting temperatures of 25-30℃. Mind you, I can't complain about this summer. So far we've only had a couple of short hot spells (around 30℃). The last couple of weeks were wet, and humid, but at least the temperatures were low enough that I was able to be active without getting too sweaty.

Currently 31° with the humidex at 37 (Canadian variant where the number is dimensionless but corresponds approximatedly to degrees C). Unlike the American feels like, it's based on the dew point and a rather messy looking computation and tends to be a bit higher.

Only dropping to 19° overnight so a rather warm night ahead.

It's been a warm weekend and that will continue until some time Thursday. Temperatures are around 25℃, mostly sunny and a slight breeze. I'm hoping the humidity will not be too high. On Thursday the rain with possible thunderstorms will return and from the weekend the temperatures will drop down to around 20℃.

Dark clouds but no rain. 89F expected today with next day or two right around 100F. Have the windows open for another hour or so. Nice breeze.
