It at least partly why movies seem like they aren't so good anymore.

On the other hand, modern movies are so expensive they are focus-grouped to death and have to be made palatable to an international audience. All the rough edges have been sanded off, which makes them feel bland.

I think Young Frankenstein never gets old. My "kids" don't agree. They are 43, 41, 39, 36. It's so disappointing.
