The downloads come from a Kobo server and AV software is only reliable on very obvious malware. MS has on occasion even "q'teened" their own windows system software.

If they release a new 4.37 version, and it is (presumably) so buggy that they quickly release some (presumably) hastily-developed bug-fixes in another 4.37 version, my spider sense tells me that I might be well not to touch either version with a long pole, and to wait until they've released a considered 4.38 version.

On Windows 10 Pro nothing pops up. Also:

Odd. I downloaded all the hardware variants 3-11 files of the 4.37.21582 firmware from the links on Patrick Gaskin's firmware download page and Windows virus and threat protection has no complaints about any of them.

Anyway, I updated OTA my Libra 2 as that was already possible. Seems kobo wants to roll-out this FW version quickly.

I also downloaded the first of the most recent with Firefox:
No issues (other than my Libra2 ran like a dog with 3 legs)

Then the latest: with the repaired Kobo Utilities

Again, no issues

Idunno, sometimes bugfixes are easy, and obviously harmless and can be quickly QA'ed and released.

I've had 3 database corruptions in 5 days with the previous .37 release and my Forma suffers both the pdf slow down and the pdf crash issues. Just hit sync and it downloaded the over the air update.

Here's for hoping this version is better! I like the other changes in .37, not going back.

Question: has anybody noticed that clicking on the search menu from inside a book now defaults to the 'My Books' search? It used to default to 'Current Read.'

A little annoying; if I call the search from inside a book I want to search that specific book.

This may have been changed in the previous 4.37s, but I only noticed today.

I got fed up and decided to finally try koreader instead...

Also there's a new kobo firmware released after this one - see the thread on 4.37.21586 if you're going to update
