Stop screen rotation on Forma

How can the automatic screen rotation (upside/down) be prevented on the Forma.

Thanks.

The default settings allow you to prevent switching between portrait and landscape but turning rotation off entirely is not part of the default settings ( Settings => Reading settings).

NickelMenu does have an nickel_orientation setting which might override the default, i.e. setting it to portrait would prevent switching orientation but I have never tested that.

Code:
nickel_orientation - one of:
                        portrait (4.13.12638+)
                        landscape (4.13.12638+)
                        inverted_portrait (4.13.12638+)
                        inverted_landscape (4.13.12638+)
invert (4.13.12638+) - Toggles between inverted/non-inverted (preserves side) (this will not work if used in a chain with swap)
swap (4.13.12638+) - Toggles between portrait/landscape (preserves inversion) (this will not work if used in a chain with invert)
So something like the following might work for you:
Code:
menu_item : main : Portrait : nickel_orientation : portrait

The constant automatic upside/down rotation is very annoying; however, what you describe is more than I want to take on.

Thanks for confirming what I thought.

I'm wondering why it would be annoying? I have my Sage locked on portrait and the vast majority of time, it switches orientation is when I move the ereader between my right and left hands. At that time, switching from portrait to inverted portrait or back is a useful behaviour.

Oftentimes when I pick it up to read, it is upside down. If I lay it down, then often it is upside down when I pick it back up.

It just seems to be a frequent annoyance. But I can live with it it -- I was just hoping there could be a permanent solution.

No worries!

I have a Libra 2 and also found this inversion somewhat annoying. (Why would it be annoying? When it gets triggered while not actually desired.) I can see it's potential usefulness, but I don't use the page turn buttons and never want the text upside down . I already had NickleMenu installed, so adding this was quite easy. Confirming setting to portrait prevents orientation switching.

On rare occasions I switch to landscape via default settings, then when done switch back via the NickleMenu item. Annoyance quashed. Thanks!
