Sure. For family members and friends, I not only loaned ebooks I loaned my whole library as I have multiple readers on my account and I only use one.

Yes. Everybody knows your intent was clearly to insult. But I've always heard the saying stated as "...leaves a bit to be desired", as in "lacking something". Rather than "...are a bit to be desired", which implies desirability. So your insult could be misconstrued as a compliment. Probably not by anyone who frequents this forum though. But the theoretical potential to come up with the exact opposite interpretation of your intent is the irony I was talking about. It's humorous, because that is an unexpected twist.

I think you can still share some of the Nook books. If I remember right, when you shared a book, you didn't have access to it until it was returned.

As I recall, once that happened, it wasn't too long before all the big name publishers pulled the lending for their books. I wonder if any of those sites still exist, or whether it's back to actually knowing someone else with a Nook? |

Sure, anything could happen. But it is realistic to bet that when I loan my mom a copy of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir I am unlikely to go through the trouble of removing that book from my reader. Anyone who told me they scrupulously did that every time, I would suspect of being untruthful.

Or they were returned in ghastly shape. I had one paperback that was returned and the person who borrowed it was upset that I was actually expecting them to replace the book. Who hasn't left a book on a patio for a week of rain?

I just took another look at the poll and it seems to me it's missing the most honest and accurate option:
