Not very likely. So far the experiences reported by quite a few posters in the calibre forum have shown poor experiences using the flatpack packages. I've played with several installs on various Linux distros running as VMs and there have been too many missing bits and pieces.

If there is a Flatpack and a regular Debian package I use the Debian. The security/user/upgrades model seems to be broken with Flatpack. I've managed to get down to only two applications via Flatpack. It's a pain. Installing Calibre from the web is painless compared to any other Linux program I've installed direct. I've used most Linux distros over the last 25 years, but only moved completely to Linux Mint instead of Windows in Jan 2017. I'm not the only person that views the various so called "modern" alternatives to rpm or deb packages with disdain. Years ago I used Ubuntu after Redhat (before Fedora), Suse (before Novell), then regular Debian. But Ubuntu started to copy the worst GUI ideas of Apple and MS, so I switched to Mint with Mate Desktop maybe in 2015 (dual boot). I've used about half a dozen desktops. |
