This is an excellent book! I keep hoping he'll write a sequel, since there's some setup to do so.

If you're not familiar with the Geisel Library at UC San Diego, check out some pictures of it before reading the finale. It's not critical, but it'll help visualizing some of the stuff going on.

That looks like a very good price for a very thick book. This one should bring back a lot of good memories on some very good 'friends'.

I see it's one of three books. Unfortunately, at this time, the other two are somewhat expensive. But then, again, I suppose it's all relative: I've been contemplating the purchase of Divine Days in ebook (from Amazon), by Leon Forrest, and it's priced at $26.60 USD.

A Desolation Called Peace, by Arkady Martine, is currently $3 in North America. This is book #2 in her Teixcalaan series, both of which took home Nebula nominations and Hugo wins, among a host of other award nods.

I've heard Vernor Vinge's health isn't particularly good and not sure whether we'll see more books from him. A shame, he wrote some fantastic and original books.

This collects the thematically-linked novellas Ironclads, Firewalkers, and Ogres, each is currently $9 on its own - perhaps the individual prices for these novellas in the same store will be reduced at some point.

Ogres is hyped up by everyone who's read it.
