Local roaster for me also. They roast twice weekly and the beans usually arrive still warm from the ovens. Needless to say, immediately ground and enjoyed.

I have to confess that it was Charbucks Espresso Roast for me.

In my defense, I don't care for the locally roasted beans available at the coffee shop in town and I'm mostly not shopping elsewhere. And... this is New England. Home to Dunkin' Donuts. 'Nuff said.

I've never had a Krispy Kreme. I don't really like donuts, though; best is just a plain cruller with no sugar or icing, i.e., crusty and not very sweet.

What I've never been able to fathom is why so many Canadians hold such a love and veneration of Tim Horton's Coffee. Seriously. I remember my first MVP Canadian Lead who had us bring her Tim Horton's Coffee every time we came to Redmond because "nothing else is as good." ???? And she was just down the road from a Peet's!

It's exactly the same as New Englanders and Dunkins. But I have to say that New England palates are generally terrible, so it's obviously something to do with how they're brought up. As for Peet's, however, it was never as good once it expanded outside the Bay Area. Not that it's not still good, but it lost that certain something.
