Calibre Not Displaying On Device Books when using KOReader

Hi I've been using KOReader and enjoy it but I've noticed books sent via KOReader are not recognised under my Calibre library. Is there a method to fix this issue? The only method that works is exiting KOReader and using the default Kobo system when undergoing this process which is frankly tedious and an extra step. Is there a way to enable displayed books natively within KOReader?

Thanks.

When you send books to your Kobo with KoReader, you are not updating the system's database. The database is what Calibre reads to check what books are on your Kobo. The system has to import any new eBooks inot the database and that does not happen when KOReader is running. That only happens when running Nickel.

Sorry for any confusion I mean when sent whilst KOReader is active if that makes sense. As in sending whilst in Koreader and not on default operating system from kobo.

Okay, then, yeah, Jon's original answer is accurate enough for a stock calibre setup.

You'll either want to force a Nickel library scan via NickelMenu, or disable the Kobo device plugin in calibre to downgrade to a plain USBMS setup that won't rely on Nickel's db.

I've written about the pros and cons of these approaches... somewhere (it's in this very subforum, can't quite recall where, though ;D).

Or you could connect KOReader with the "Wireless device conncetion" of Calibre.

The solution to sending eBooks to the Kobo is to go back to Nickel when you want to add more eBook(s).
