Hm. I hope they're strong enough. My dad's marine binoculars were too weak for me, but then that was over 30 years ago... perhaps they've improved.

Aren't those jeweller's loupes? If so, they're for magnifying near things, not far ones. So no help at all to Sirtel.

Maybe between page turns you could pet your cats. They would just have a short break while you operated your page-turning stick.

Well, I don't remember how much my dad's binoculars magnified, so until I can try them out in real life, I'll have to pass. You can keep the stick. Perhaps you can turn the pages with it while you're eating, so as not to get your ereader dirty.
