That's possible, I suppose, but I cannot recall ever seeing an Activity tile anywhere on the bottom menu on any of my devices, either unpatched or patched. It is accessed via the "More" option on the bottom right. Sorry I don't know, perhaps one of the gurus here can offer a solution.

When using sideload mode, Home and Discover are removed, and Activity gets a spot on the bottom menu bar, instead.

Indeed.

Anyway, I think I have come to terms with the unbearable existence of the activity button now. It's hard, but I keep on living, resetting the stats for every time I've finished a book.
