I love what I do now. Planned to stay in this position another year or two before going for a different position within the same place. Right now there aren't any openings in the department I want anyway so I'm stuck with the new boss for a while.

Covid sucks, I’ve managed to avoid it until last week, I have no idea where I caught it and it kicked my butt, it was not severe but 5 days of headaches, fever, chills, pain in my body and sweat, so much sweat, and to round it all my throat was so inflamed I couldn’t swallow, so eating and drinking was very painful, and it looked like it also affected the salivary glands because not only did it increase the amount of saliva produced it was thicker then usual, which is just what I needed when I could not swallow.
I could only think if I’m like this after being vaccinated I can’t even imagine how it would have been without the vaccine.
I’m a pretty healthy person, I’ve only had the flu one time and a throat infection more than 20 years ago, but since October I had two cases of virus infections and now covid, I hope this doesn’t became the norm.

If aliens ever invade Earth and force us to offer them human sacrifices, I for one will willingly sacrifice the entire state of Massachusetts. Make new england a better place AND probably kill off the aliens with indigestion. A win-win for everyone.

I detest how intertwined sports and online sports betting has become. The commercial media blitz in Ohio has become absolutely ridiculous. I'm not opposed to gambling in any kind of moral sense, mind you. I just think it's stupid, annoying, and unhealthy in general. Keep your game props and your money lines to yourself. Go to Vegas if you want to throw your money away and leave me alone.

Even worse, here at least, is the influence gambling, including sports betting, has on party politics and campaign funding.

Very sad that, in 2023, there has to be a discussion as to IF a disabled child should be able to join a cub scout pack.

Thank you Steve for still being involved in scouting 40+ years later and letting that pack know that a disabled kid has been involved in scouting before and was able to do absolutely everything the other kids did. And it was a wonderful experience for all involved.

Finding out that the clinic at which my family doctor practices has shut down is fun.

Finding out when I try to call for an appointment and the line is disconnected, as opposed to being given any advance warning, is especially fun.

Sadly the fun came to an early end when I was able to confirm my doctor is still, in fact, practicing, and book an appointment with them at their new clinic. Still though – no letter, phone call, nothing. Even their website is completely offline, rather than showing some explanatory message. Feeling lucky to have resolved the “fun” without too much undue stress.

Similar thing happened to me 20+years ago, she left the country without telling anyone - not even her receptionist!

Then it happened again in 2021. But he visited or called on his patients to hand over their records - he was on his way to see me, when he spotted me on the street. He went back to HK.
