I got this recommendation on Goodreads for a FREE self-published series:
Linked Worlds by Masha du Toit.

Linked Worlds follows the adventures of Elke Veraart, a trainer of cybernetic dogs, who is trying to live down her past as an eco-terrorist in South Africa. The second book and third books in the series, The Real and The Strange were both shortlisted for the Ilube Nommo Award for best speculative novel by an African. The series is complete. Each book is a separate, self-contained story, but they are best read in sequence.

I was surprised to see that this doesn't work on my version of Kindle for PC. Apparently it's a newer version and doesn't work. This version was "published after January 3rd" which means those wanting a DRM free version will need to jump through hoops: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=351285

Since the reviews are all about the whole book, this looks like a hijacked listing. Probably the only thing you'll get from that other bookstore is a pirated copy and your credit card number being stolen.
