"Et si c'était Lui" from Gérald Messadié.

It is a fiction based on the concept of Jesus appearing in this day and age on his predicted second comming.

Imaginative but not completely elaborated so far. And he's got it easyer this time than the last.

I've recently finished and enjoyed:
"Neptune Crossing" - Jeffrey A. Carver
"Glory in Death" - J.D. Robb

and have started
"Every Dead Thing" - John Connolly
Disturbing yet satisfying.

Just finished "The White Rabbit" by Bruce Marshall - the true story of the wartime secret agent F. F. E. Yeo-Thomas. A very interesting read. Published in 1952, Marshall can't help himself adopting a right-wing jingoistic attitude that is partly laughable, and partly embarrassing today; and discredits his subject whom he imbues with a similar worldview. The story itself is gripping, and shows what extraordinary circumstances many people found themselves in - and what extraordinary courage they needed to see them through.

Now reading 'The Parliament House' by Edward Marston - a Restoration period murder mystery. Good so far.

Both pbooks.

I finished an ARC of Margo Lanagan's Tender Morsels. Brilliant, but not for the very sensitive as some truly, genuinely horrific things happen in it.

I am now about to start The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters by Gordon Dahlquist. It's supposed to be a real romp, so I'm looking forward to it.

Just finished "A Door into Summer".
It was the very first adult Sci-Fi book I read (in French, then), when I was... 17, maybe ? Don't remember exactly, but I know I loved it then, and I wasn't disappointed by this reading now !

It's fun. It's the same story with most of the same words, but it takes place during a plague of zombies. Of course the Bennett girls have all learned martial arts at a Shaolin temple in China and carry ankle daggers or katanas at all times.

Wait a minute here, I thought you were reading Pride and prejudice AND Zombies two obviously very different books.

I`ve got to download this book.

I've been re-reading three books by Elizabeth Willey:
  • A Sorcerer and a Gentleman
  • The Price of Blood and Honor
  • The Well Favored Gentleman

These books are set in a fantasy universe somewhat reminiscent of Zelazny's Amber. The characters are mannerly, with address and charm. Villains, high sorcery, political intrigue, love, honor, innocence, adventure, war... they've got it all in a truly wonderful combination! Quite different from the usual run of fantasy novels, these books read something like a hybrid cross between Zelazny's Amber series and the novels of Jane Austen. Highly recommended.

I've been mystified for years why Willey never produced anything after these three books. Poor sales? Real life intruded? I have no clue. No legal ebook editions available that I could find.
