Using fuzzy matches in Similar Books

I have Similar Books set up to use custom search group category in place of tags. (This is made up of three different columns used for different types of books.)

When using Similar Books > Books with same tags, it returns a search of category:"=whatever"

Is there a way to instead return a search of category:"~whatever"?

If not, would it make sense to add?

Why do you want to use a regexp search? Don't you mean a character variant search (category:"^whatever")?

If not, would it make sense to add?

I will look at it, especially if there are more upvotes. It won't happen until the category link stuff is done.

Ah yeah, the ^ is what I meant. I keep forgetting which is which.
