So what's with this awful new collection view? It's terrible. Isn't there any way to see the books on the Kindle with Collections at the top of this list of has Amazon botched it?

That is ugly. Worse, when you open up a collection it is in cover view with no option to switch to list.

Just for the record, it looks like MRPI is possibly affected. I updated to 5.15.1.1, KUAL of course stopped working, so I tried to reinstall it, but the usual "drop in the mrpackages folder and run ;log mrpi" doesn't work (well MRPI does start but the installation fails). I tried with the latest coplate version and a previous one I had (which was previously working). You can: go to Settings > Device Options > Advanced Options > Home & Library > Collections > Show all in Library.

If you are in List view and open a Collection the items will also be in List view.

That is not how it used to be. Way way back you had the option to sort by collection. It would list the collections first, and all books not in collections afterwards. That is what Jon wants back. Now, if you select collection view, the books not in collections go bye bye and the collections themselves and their contents when you open them are in forced cover view.

In list view collections are mixed in, not first.

I know it is not the way it used to be, but it is the only way to get collections to use List mode.

And of course there's no way to mix and keep them separate now.

These changes are not user friendly at all. I did like it better when the collections could be seen at the top of the list.

I've seen some people complain (here and on reddit) about the weird battery drain when their Kindles are on sleep mode after this update.
I remember my Kindle being 80+% the other day. I didn't open it until now, and it's at 55%.
I could leave my Kindle for a week on sleep mode and barely lose 10%.
I hope this is a one-off thing and not an actual bug, because I can't wait another 3-6 months before Amazon release an update.

Confirmed that putting BOTH hotfix and KUAL installer and do mrpi together could bring back the KUAL.

Also there's a blank screen issue after MPRI shows "done, restarting UI", then press the power button for 15s to force restart the kindle.



During the boot screen, there's a *** JAILBREAK *** mark blow the screen, I think that means the jailbreak stay effected.

welp, have to say i was an idiot who updated his kindle paperwhite 11 to 5.15.1.1 without reading about the whole jailbreak before hand. got it as a replacement for my old Boyue T62 and now struggling to get used to the amazon UI... hope a new jailbreak will be available later

Hi. Can you advise on what's the software version of an "out of the box" Kindle? Meaning if I bought one now what version would it have?
