Yes, Amazon.de, because I am registered there with a German account. The problem is not related to a country, because a friend in Germany has now the same problem. And until yesterday I could choose "Download and Transfer" and all of my devices appeared. Including my Mac. Now it's just my kindle listed. I didn't change the settings, didn't delete devices etc. I've tried to establish my Mac as the default device, but that requires K4Mac in the newest version.

That's the way it's always been for me. Only my eink Kindles are listed under "Download & Transfer".

I didn't choose my kindle to download the books to, because I thought that would cause a kfx-file I couldn't remove the DRM from. Nothing to loose, so I did it now and it actually downloaded the books to my MAC. Sorry for confusing you because Amazon was confusing me...

I just tried with amazon.ca. Purchased two books and after a couple of minutes they showed in Books under Content and Devices. Going into the more actions dropdown, both have the Download & Transfer via USB showing. As usual, only my Kindle eInk device showed as an option. Deliver or remove from device still shows all my apps and devices.

If I go into Devices, I can select any of the apps or devices and set as default device without having to go into an app.

That's because Amazon botched what they had in the listing for the PW5.

Content formats supported
Kindle Format 8 (AZW3), Kindle (AZW), TXT, PDF, unprotected MOBI, EPUB, PRC natively; HTML DOC, DOCX, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PMP through conversion; Audible audio format (AAX).

That is not confusing. No, not at all.

Right now download & transfer is non-kfx even for Kindles that support kfx.
