It changed some time ago when Kobo included the tab for series.

I had been using Collections for series name.
It may just be me not noticing the (#) order, because I rarely have more than 2 series members on the device.

I have a separate column now from collections for Series in Calibre. Only works with Kobo ereaders and book has to first be in the Kobo database.

(I could recheck as I included in my own version of KoboUtilities the query that davidfor shown for cleaning series with only one book in it--> because of this, tab series was too crowded), but I can say for sure that it orders by number of series (J.D. Robb and Shelly Laureston are witness )

It was there all along WHEN using the Series View then expand the series to show members.

I mostly use Books and there are too many books, so when sorted by series, I failed to see the order
for opening my eyes
