Huh. I'll mess with it when I get home. I'm out of state for a funeral right now (in beautiful Washington State).

Even Kobo purchased books, I download from the web, as to Calibre and sideload to the Kobo. So I haven't messed with a directly downloaded kepub.

One of the main publishers I know of for the "sold without DRM" messages is Tor/Macmillan. I found the contact page, but general inquiries seem limited to snail mail and Twitter.

Everywhere it is written on the website in regular text it is calibre. But we all know what it means Calibre cALIBRE CaLiBrE or even caliber (maybe their spellcheck got them).

Google Translate is correct for the US spelling of the common noun. But when someone says caliber here it's pretty safe to assume they're talking about the ebook program and not quality or guns. Give them a break -- maybe spellcheck "corrected" it for them.
