Linking Calibre with other ebook management programs
I truly appreciate Calibre's dynamic capabilities. However, I find it useful to browse my collection in a more visually-inclined, intuitive way that other ebook management programs allow.
Is there a best process for linking my Calibre library with other ebook management programs? Can that be done easily? And if metadata changes are made in the linked program, will they be reflected within the Calibre library? |

I certainly would prefer to keep things simple. However, I am not finding the intuitive usability that I would prefer within Calibre. I have posted another thread about browsing using book covers. Is this possible within Calibre? If so, having such a process would help with file management.
I am considering other management programs like BookShelf2 and Delicious Library 3. But I am open to suggestions. If I can work more intuitively with Calibre, then that's ideal. |

I know that Calibre has a built-in ebook reader, but when Calibre is hunting for ebook metadata in the backwaters of cyberspace, I can't use the built-in ebook reader. |

Configure your browser to open the relevant file types with the calibre-viewer.
BTW: the OP's issue had nothing to do with opening book files in cyberspace. BR |
