Last night I found out that Netflix doesn't show you all the movies and tv series on you My List if you go to that page. I couldn't find things on there I was certain I added, but I assumed that they weren't available on Netflix anymore.

Yesterday I went to the Series page, and at the top you can scroll through the series you have added to My List. And there are all the series I added. The same goes for the movies page.

Now I do have a huge list of things I want to see. But I find it sneaky not everything is displayed on the My List page.

Last night I started Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself on Netflix, which is entertaining and not too difficult to follow when feeling crummy with a cold. Of course Netflix has cancelled the series.

When I finish Half Bad, I might watch season 2 of Buffy, I need something easy that I know I'll like.

My Grandaughter enjoyed 'The Bastard Son..' and told me to try it. I did and found it was not for me! But I am catching up with 'The Madame Blanc Mysteries' which is a nice gentle series along the lines of 'Death in Paradise'.

Yeah, it was, for us, fairly trite teen romance-y stuff, TBH. I didn't find it really compelling and most of the characters were simply downright unlikeable. I don't "get" shows that simply assume that you'll keep watching no matter how repellent or inept the characters are depicted to be.

I watched the first movie in the Blade trilogy. I realized I only watched the first two movies when I recently saw that a new Blade movie is going to be made.

I watched it before, when it was just released. I liked it then. Imho it's showing it's age; the blue filter, fake rocks in the final scene and the special effect are something (and not in a good way). Compared to the special effects of The Mummy, which came out a year later, it's very cartoony.

Well, hell..it was a comic book. We have to give it its due, though--it launched the Marvel empire, really. It made Marvel think that they could give Sam Raimi money for the first Spiderman--and the rest is pretty legendary, no matter HOW crappy that last movie was. I mean the last Avengers movie.

We finally got around to the last two episodes of "His Dark Materials" (aka The Golden Compass, Philip whats-is-name's books). Honestly, I cannot say just how childish and meh I found the last two episodes. The entire season has declined into Tweener land, to begin with--and this ending was just...so insipid, to us. Now, each their own and all that, but I'd have rather been cleaning out Mr. Z's catbox.

Over the weekend I watched three episodes of All Creatures Great and Small (the season that is now airing on PBS) on PBS Passport.

I started watching Little Dorrit (2008 -- Claire Foy, Tom Courtenay, Matthew McFadyen) Wednesday and continued with episodes 2 and 3 tonight. I saw the whole thing on PBS when it first aired and then read the book. I don't remember the details, and I am enjoying the re-watch of it. (BritBox)

I finally started with the Interview with a Vampire series last night. It's okay. I like that it's a series and the story can be told in more detail, I don't mind that the time it's set in has changed, I like that it's the second time Louis talks to the journalist and tells his story in more detail and possibly the true story. I don't know why I'm not more into it. It's good enough to continue, there are series and movies I want to watch more than this, but I've reserved them for my vacation next week. So for now IwaV serves as a time filler.

A bit of catching up to do (in no particular order):

Watched Amazon's "The Rig". A little too cautionary (and a much too esoteric antagonist) for my taste. The ending was crap whether there's another season or not. The stars carried it along as best they could, though. Bonnar was completely wasted on his character.

I watched Netflix's "That 90s Show." It was fun to catch up with the old gang a bit, but the new kids weren't that compelling. Kitty was the star of the first season. I wouldn't bet on there being a second.

Been watching "Will Trent" in real time. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Feels like it's lurching from awkward to pointless and awkward much of the time. But I'm interested at least. From the previews, I thought they might have been going for a "Monk" kind of vibe. Happy to be wrong about that (not that I didn't enjoy Monk)!

Disney's "National Treasure: Edge of History" has been pretty lackluster as well. Fun to see Riley, but like "That 90's Show," the new kids aren't enough to make the show all that much fun. It just doesn't "rollick" like the original.

The second season of Amazon's "The Hunters": solid closure, but still didn't hold a candle to the first season.

Enjoyed both "The Rings of Power" on Amazon and "Willow" on Disney. Go figure!?

I didn't watch any tv besides a couple of YouTube films tonight because I fought with iTunes for two hours and after that I didn't have the energy to concentrate any much.

But I did decide not to continue with Interview with a Vampire. I found that I'm not interested in the rest of the story. I'm not sure what I'm going to watch over the weekend, maybe some movies.

Started watching "Lockwood & Co." on Netflix and its just quirky and dark enough for me to enjoy it so far. I understand it's based on a series of YA books that I know absolutely nothing about.

It's a bit different, true--got that whole Dickensian, Fagin-ist, let's exploit tweens vibe to it. It skews a bit young, for most of us, let's not kid ourselves (I mean, really, the tweeny angst.,..oy...) but at least it's a bit different!

I just finished it and really liked it. I did read the books, but that was years ago, so I can't remember much detail. But it did feel that the series creators did the books right. Now here's to hoping Netflix doesn't cancel the series.

I'm on vacation, which means I binge on horror, both books and TV. Because who doesn't want to wake up in the middle of the night because of strange sounds and be scared because you just read/watched something scary that day. When I last stayed in this vacation park I woke up one night and heard what I think must have been wild boars.
