You can't really. It's only more or less orange tint, an approximation to varying the color temperature, not colour as in hue. Though that's all most people want, to make it like a long life tungsten lamp, oil, gas, or candlight colour.

Count me as one. A color changing frontlight would likely be more trouble and expense than it is worth.

I agree, though I believe one model did have such a thing.

The Aura One was the only Kobo with a fancier set of LEDs (for better or for worse... ;p), with (at least) full and separate Green/Red LEDs (possibly blue, too, can't remember, as I've never had one, but I seem to remember that you *could* turn it crimson red or neon green ;p).
The hidden devmodeon menu has a specific panel on that device where you can control each primary individually. |

I think you can put the device in developer mode and change RGB settings too. Should make it pretty flexible.

Are we sure about that? The Sage (8") weighs 240g and an iPad mini (8.3") weighs 293g. I would guess that a lot of that extra weight in the Mini is the larger battery?

@John F: Possibly the glass; we only have a thin glass substrate for the eInk TFT (and even that is significant, c.f., how much lighter the Forma was with its plastic substrate), v.s., a beefy multilayered gorilla glass user-facing panel on the iPad.

Sounds iffy to me. Doing a quick Google, the difference in weight between a 1200mah battery and a 4400mmah is 71g. And the Mini weighs only 53g more than a Sage, and the Mini has an even larger screen.

Developer mode doesn't seem to be working with my Libra 2 using 4.34. Can anyone else get devmode to work?

Look like you can't - I had seen the thing on the developers extra settings menu and saw the video - but it looks like it only worked on the Aura One. At least you can give it a try and see what it will do.
