Do I have this straight?
ottischwenk & rexbanner own Ultra Tabs, it's Android 11 and are getting ~18 minutes on 26,000? ottischwenk owns a Leaf2, it's Andorid 11 and gets < 1 second on 26,000? I still think that there's some variability here because something was getting ~20 seconds. ext4 never got case sensitivity option until kernel 5.something, which is why that isn't used. |

This seems similar to the problems I've been having; when I load KOreader on my Nova 2 or Tab Ultra, it takes a huge amount of time to open up the main book folder compared to what it requires on any other device.

The Nova 2 doesn't have this flaw though - it takes 18% of the Tab Ultra time for this test

I sent in some feedback mentioning that the device becomes very slow when handling large numbers of files, but I could probably send in a better one if I had a better notion of what to say, just to be sure they're hearing about it from multiple people.

I've been closely following and checking this thread for updates on the ultra on a daily basis, but given the detour(?) into filesystem performance and the silence since, is it reasonable to assume that root is not very likely to be found anytime soon?
If so, it's a shame the graphics performance boost in the ultra over the NA2+ comes at such a high loss of accessability. :/ |
