I stopped using or watching them some time back--got tired of the edited content, as if I'm not an adult, lol. (I mean, really, fuzzed-out naked butts and edited "bad' words? Sheesh, if I wanted that, I'd buy an airline ticket!) But I'll keep an eye open for it! It's sure to come around somewhere! Thanks much. Hitch |

Binge watching The Good Wife thanks to 1-year sub to Paramount+ for $25. After that, I'll jump into all of the new Star Trek series.

Among other shows I am on a nostalgia kick, and am streaming one episode per day of all eleven series of 'M.A.S.H'. Corny and a bit over the top but I have fond memories of both the original film and this series!

This week I've finished The Watcher, which was frustrating and, like with Inside Man, not many characters I could sympathize with.
On Wednesday Wednesday was released. Which I loved. Was it a bit predictable? Sure. Was it filled with Addams Family clichés? Of course. But I loved it. I Friday I watched the first two episodes of the new Criminal Minds. It's a lot darker than the original and it has an overarching story line for the whole season instead of it being a-crime-a-week type of series. Last night I finally got around to Cabinet of Curiosities, and watched the first two episodes. As someone mentioned before; it isn't scary, at least for a horror fan (my sister wanted to watch it, too, but I'll have to warn her). It good enough to continue. |

Watche episode one of 'Moon Knight' yesterday. Quirky and oddball, but I don't know if I am sufficiently inerested to continue with it!

Last night I finished Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix. Some of the episodes were okay, others couldn't hold my interest.
I just read that from Friday a series based on the Gamache book series by Louise Penny will start on Amazon. Not to be confused with the 2013 movie with Nathaniel Parker (Inspector Lynley) as Gamache. The Amazon series has Alfred Molina as Gamache. From the article I read it seems like the inhabitants of Three Pines, or at least Ruth Zardo, is more of a caricature than a good representation of the character in the book. The story will be about missing indigenous women. It isn't listed on the Dutch Amazon Prime, so I'm not sure when I get to see it. The first two episodes are out on Friday. |

What Are You Watching
I'm currently watching the first season of One of Us is Lying. Which starts out as Gossip Girl meets The Breakfast Club. Where a group of students get detention. Only for one of them, the one who published all the gossip of the school, is murdered. Of course they're all suspects, and they want to figure out who is the murderer. Each of them has secrets that were about to be published by the victim, so they all have a motive (but so have many other people).
It's okay, just two more episodes to go. Not sure if I'll ever watch season 2, though. It depends how this season ends. Edit: my guess is the victim committed suicide. Enjoying the fact that those fellow detentioners will be suspects. Last edited by Rumpelteazer; 12-01-2022 at 12:55 PM. |

I finished it, I was close. It's got an open-ish ending, so I'll probably watch season 2 some time in the future. But lately I've watched a lot of teen/YA shows and I need a break from those. I'll probably watch a movie tomorrow. It'll either be The Shining (Kubrick's version) or Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Starting a re-watch of Elementary - enjoyable if a tad dated - which will probably lead to a re-watch of Sherlock ....
I knew that Hulu subscription would lead to madness ..... |

I have never been gaga for the Cumberbatch version. it's okay, nothing horrible around it, just not my cuppa. My next binge is no doubt going to be a triple-header--Jeremy Brett as Holmes; Suchet as Poirot and Joan Hickson as Miss Marple, lol. (Probably as soon as I finish my Midsomer Murders binge. I'm in S12 now.) That always seems to restore my faith in Telly-kind. There's just something about that clip-clop of horses' hooves, in the (ubiquitous) opening scenes of Midsomer that suits me. :-) Hitch |

I'm now six episodes in 1899. And I must admit that I often have to rewind a bit to catch what is being said. I think it's due to both the switching of languages and the very quick subtitles. By the time my brain has registered the dialogue is not in a language I understand the subtitles are gone.
My two main gripes with this series is that that even though there are a lot of people from different nationalities it's remarkable how well they understand someone not speaking their language. Unless, of course, it's good for the story when they don't understand each other. The second thing is that I'm starting want answers to all the questions raised in the series, but I suspect by the end of the series/season we're not going to get many of them. I hope I'm wrong, but it's just one of those series where it wouldn't surprise me. |
