They aren't enthusiastic about it!

These guys are based in my geographic area, and have a good track record for their technology comments/advice - both are former Apple Store Genius Bar dudes.

Great to hear that the writing experience feels more natural compared to the iPad. I hate using my Apple Pencil on my iPad because of the feel of writing on glass.

Mine is listed to be delivered by end of day, but they still have not shipped it yet. Anyone else in this category or has their's "out for delivery"? I'm suspecting Amazon to push this out and screw this up... but why charge my card if its not shipping? Stressing is an understatement.

UPDATE: They shipped it UPS. Which means the delivery is not today. Amazon sure has slipped in the accuracy of their estimates of delivery. But they won't fix it cause they are too big and don't care.

UPDATE #2: Somehow UPS has delayed the delivery yet again. Now it’s “supposed” to be here tomorrow. Talk about carrot in front of the donkey.

Making notes on pdfs or in meetings is not such a big deal for me (I still prefer pen and paper) although will find it handy to make notes while reading. I am mainly looking forward to checking it out as a large screen ereader.

My order shows as coming by 10pm today though it hasn't shipped yet. We live a few miles from their distribution centers so it won't take long once it gets put into one of their vans!!

EDIT: Just received notice that it has been delayed with no new delivery date as yet. The Fintie case I ordered for it isn't scheduled to show up for another 2 weeks. oh well.

Really? Why not USB? Most or all Kindles accept PDF (though not much good).
Every other 10" approx eink on the market accepts PDFs via USB.

I won't be sending MY pdfs or 3rd Party ones to Amazon. That's crazy.

The note-taking feature (the one where you can write directly on the PDF isn't available for USB sideloaded PDFs. The file has to be converted first by Amazon before you can actually write on it. The stupidest thing I've heard. When all other brands do it out of the box.

The whole thing is a glorified sticky note. It has an excellent hardware, but too expensive for whatever it is able to do.

amazon, apple, and microsoft have been (mostly) able to ignore what anyone else does for a long time. Eventually that should bite them in the butt.

I suspect that once the magic sauce PDF format gets reverse engineered open tools will be available to let anyone make the needed modifications. Maybe it is just metadata.

Fintie has a case for the Scribe? Link? I can't find it on the Fintie site. I hope it's the flip/easel case like on my other two Kindles.

I haven't ordered a case for mine yet. I'm a bit picky - I hate pen loops (or any pen storage), and I don't like the top flip style. I'm holding out for something like my lightweight Remarkable folio.
