Sync read status from Kindle

Hi,

Is there a way that my read/unread books can be synced both ways from kindle to Calibre, and vice versa?

Thanks

If the kindle has it linked to goodreader, you could calibre keep a history of your books read, those that you are currently reading and those that are pending reading.
Using the goodreads sync plugin.
But syncing calibre and kindle both ways I don't think it is possible.
Or with the reading list plugin

Thanks. I thought there might be a simpler way to do this as I seem to lose read status of books on Kindle now and then. Marking 'read' is a slow process on the Kindle itself. It would be good if this could be done quikcly on Calibre and then synced to Kindle.

With the goodreads sync plugin, once linked, you only have to select which shelf to synchronize with Calibre.
The selected option is to synchronize shelf and then a poster appears to choose which one.

If I unerstand it correctly, this wont work for sideloaded books, right? I have about 600 books in my Calibre collections, about half of them read. I would like to upload them to my kindle and mark them as read. It does not seem to be possible without doing it manually?

No, there's no way to do it with a Kindle.
