Rebooting Win10 always removes Calibre settings

I am using the most current version o Calibre 6.0 under Windows 10.

After installing the lastest update, whenever I restart my computer, when I load Calibre all of the settings are gone; i need to reenable them, and need to repoint to all of my libraries.

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix/correct this behavior?

(most user) Settings are kept in the Calibre configuration folder.
If you lose those, you have lost access to %appdada%
Typically
C:\Users\<your logon>\AppData\Roaming\calibre

Probably some third party 'cleanup' process in your startup list, that you allow to update automatically, is being too aggressive.

That is what I'm inclined to think too. Possibly something malicious— MalwareBytes Anti-Malware is a good idea in this case.

One other pointer. Setup your settings and once done, exit Calibre and backup the settings directory and if you ever need to restore your settings, you'll be able to very easily.
