Youa re using the sepia color theme, and the book you are viewing is overriding it. Set Override all book colors to always in the colors section of the viewer preferences.

I indented, but in this mode, the viewer sees each column as one, and not two columns as one, and therefore indents from each column, and you get a large space in the middle, unfortunately (
