Question How can I abort a highlighting operation (fragments)?

Reproduce:

1. You have Koreader set up to highlight text using the method of 'choose the start fragment....choose the end fragment', rather than the default where you run your finger on the whole part you want highlighted.

2. You try to choose the first part of the highlight, but you stuff it up.
Now Koreader is asking you for the end of your highlight, but you don't want to continue.

Is there any way to abort the whole process as this point?
Currently to fix a bad highlight I have to finish the process and delete the highlight.

I know it seems minor, but not so much if you do 20 highlights a day!

Do you see a possible way (action, gesture) to be used to abort?

I think @hius07 was asking if you could think of an actual user interaction that would make sense to achieve what you're asking .

Proposition: https://github.com/koreader/koreader/pull/9786

To abort the select mode with a tap on the first fragment.
