Oxford dictionary 2nd or 3rd edition on 11th gen Kindles?

Hi all. I'm curious to know if the 11th gen Kindles come with the newer and much-improved 3rd edition of the Oxford Dictionary of English, or do they still come with the 2nd edition?

I saw this post from a user who managed to get Amazon support to manually "push" the 3rd edition to their 10th-gen Kindle device. So I tried the same, but the support agent had no idea what I was talking about

I ended up getting a Kobo which comes with the 3rd edition by default, but have found its MyWords feature to be lacking compared to Kindle's vocabulary builder and have stopped using it.

Would anyone with an 11th gen device be so kind and check the first page of their Oxford Dictionary of English, which shows what edition it is? I'm hoping that Oasis 4 will be announced soon, but this might just convince me to get the latest Paperwhite instead.

I believe PW4 is gen 10, so I'm hoping PW5 (gen 11) has the 3rd edition.

Something is odd here. The post referenced at the start of this thread that discusses the third editions of the dictionaries was from March of 2019. It refers to the "...brand new Kindles that include the third editions of the Oxfords by default." However at that time the new Kindles were the 10th generation which had just come out.

Good find. I also have a Fire tablet with third edition Oxford dictionaries.

My Kindle Oasis has Oxford Dictionary of English Second Edition, ASIN B0053VMNYW, created 2013-02-14, 48KB, 145,561 entries. It shows up under Dictionaries & User Guides in the Manage Your Content and Devices page on amazon.com.

My Fire tablet has the Oxford Dictionary of English Third Edition, ASIN B003WUYRGI, created 2017-03-10, 46KB, 143,118 entries. It does not appear under Dictionaries & User Guides.

Added: I also see third edition dictionaries in the Kindle for iOS app.

So all of the various Kindle apps get the third edition but e-ink Kindles only get the second edition. I wonder why?

Hopefully in the near future Amazon will roll out the 3rd edition to all devices. It's quite strange how they've included it with every device except their e-ink ones!

Update: I installed Kindle for PC and got the dictionary from there. It's in .mobi format though. Does it matter?

I deleted the 2nd edition from my kindle and just copied the 3rd edition to the same directory. So far it seems to be working.

Kobo's Oxford Dictionary of English has a copyright date of 2019. What edition does that make it?

Other than the two mentioned (Oxford Dictionary of English and Oxford American Dictionary) are there any other Kindle dictionaries that anyone has noticed being updated to newer editions over time/Kindle releases?
