Jeez. I'm a Premium Plus member with a whopping 7 credits, but does my Audible home page show me this deal? No. Does the Audible deals page show me this deal? No. Did I get an e-mail announcing this deal? No. Am I annoyed? Yes.

Because they don’t want to have to give you a $20 coupon when you’re close to using up all your credits anyway so you can quit.

Darn you, Loosheesh! My free KU subscription for buying a Kindle ended recently and I was relieved, because when I have KU, I use it but I’ve noticed that I don’t like the books nearly as well as everything else I read. Last year my overall rating for KU books was a dismal 2.5 stars out of five at Goodreads.

You made me look. (See how I shifted the blame there?). And it turns out they’re also willing to give me three more months for free, gratis, nothing. I’m trying to resist, but I’m still thinking about it. Sigh. Well, maybe it will go away while I’m thinking. That would be a good outcome!

It's okay, I'll take the blame, lol. I get some value out of it but not enough for $9.99 a month, so all these offers are great. I'm a moody reader; there are times when I'll read a lot from the KU library, and other times I can go weeks and never pick up anything from there. This 'pricing model' suits me

On a serious note, how are they even making money off KU if they're always handing out these offers, considering they have to pay the authors as well?

I get the 2 year subscription when they have it on sale. My current one ends Nov 2023. It comes out to around $6 a month if I recall. (and it says I've been a member since 2015, so that's 4 times I've gotten the 2 year sub LOL)

They had a fantastic sale end of Feb-beginning of March and another excellent one in Sept. There were other sales as well but those two were the best.

Hoping for another Black Friday special to get 12 credits for $119. I'm down to my last one from last year. I used most of them in their "use credits, earn a coupon" sales.
