Amazon partially fixed bug that did not read metadata
the author is not unknown anymore while sending through email. it reads the metadata for the author, but uses the file name instead of title as the title, then in my kindle the title is "title - author". as calibre sending ascii-ized filenames. Non-English speakers are just out of luck

Thank you for notifying.
This just made everything easier again. Have you done some tests? Like without any plug-boards? update: Just when things are starting to look good. Seems like Calibre only puts the book title - author on the subject line so Amazon puts that as the title. I need to have the series info on the title since documents (and Amazon in general) doesn't play well with series groupings. Back to using the send to kindle app for me. Ah, I just posted about this in another thread. This should be as easy workaround (change the file name to the title), but I have lots of book titles with colons (because they have subtitles). No way to add a colon to file name. I tried using the Send to Kindle PC app. That does allow me to assign a title other than the file name, including using a colon, but it keeps converting the colons to underscores.

I was wondering why I kept getting underscores and that Amazon wasn't reading the metadata and just going by the written title. I came here to figure out what was going on... |
