Unhappy Big problem with my sage

I purchased my sage at the end of june this year. There's a problem with either Kobo software, either my battery's faulty. At time, it would work properly, and other times, like today, it drives me mad : charged it this night, didn't touch it since I put it in my bag before leaving for work. I opened it just now and it read : put your device in charge !
I'm the only one ? Is there something I can do ? It's not the first time that happens.

I would return it for a replacement or refund. I've had my Sage nearly a year and it's never done that, it sounds like a faulty battery

Make sure you turn it off and not just in sleep mode. The Sage is known to have a lousy battery. If I read daily on it I have to charge at least twice a week if not more. I noticed it still drains in sleep mode but does well if I shut it off altogether.

Mine doesn't. I tend to leave mine in sleep rather than powered off, and it has never drained overnight. The battery level does drop a few percentage points, but definitely not going from charged to empty as in the OP's case.

I experienced a similar problem two days ago. I had charged the Kobo Sage all day and the battery was at "Charged 100%". Went to bed and read for about half an hour before putting the Sage in Sleep Mode and going to sleep. I woke up to a Sage that said it needed to be charged and was sitting at 3% charge. I've charged it back up and it has behaved normally the last two nights. No idea what happened. Kobo Sage was ordered when they first came out and has been trouble free other than this incident.

Could it be a calibrating problem on a new device? Perhaps you should go through a few cycles of 100% to under 5% charge?
Otherwise, could it be a problem of contact with magnets which nowadays are everywhere? I had this type of problem with a handbag which closed with a strong magnet. I changed handbag, problem solved.

This was happening to my Sage, but lately it's stopped. Good to know that it's fixed (hopefully) in the latest firmware update.
