Thanks! Finally returned to life tonight.

My reaction to the Pfizer variants booster was very similar to getting a tetanus shot - when I woke up I couldn't move my arm - now there's no swelling/pain/redness -- go figure.

I'm planning to get the new booster soon. I won't do the flu shot at the same time. I've never had side effects from the flu shot in the past but I'd still rather not take a chance on getting two sets of side effects at the same time. I'll wait and do the flu shot a couple of weeks after the Covid shot.

Today I scheduled the new Moderna booster for Monday afternoon at a pharmacy near me. When I was having my annual physical yesterday, my doctor pushed me very hard to schedule it as soon as possible (even before I schedule my mammogram that I am due for). I'll get the flu shot in October.

I seem none the worse for wear for getting the flu vaccine and the bivalent Moderna booster at the same time. Having had little-to-no reaction to the flu vaccine in the past (and only mild fatigue related to Moderna boosters), I wasn't too worried. Happy to be done for 2022! It was a banner year for vaccines! One Tetanus shot, two shots each for Shingles and Hep B, two Covid boosters, and a flu shot.

My fourth Covid shot is scheduled for the first of October. Supposedly a combined flu shot as well, but that was not explained clearly in the text I got to book the shot!

Had my bivalent booster Friday (so a total of five shots so far). No aches or side effects (apart from fantastic 5G reception )

Don't get your booster before you have your Mammogram! The inflammation from the booster interferes with the results. A lot of docs don't know this! Schedule your booster for after your mammogram!

I ended up getting my flu shot at my regular doc visit. Taking Mom for her flu and booster this week and I'll get my booster then. My stitch group is my only real risk these days being that it's at the Barnes and Noble coffee shop.

It is no longer recommended to delay mammogram after a COVID shot, or delay a COVID shot pending a mammogram. Just let the radiologists know the date and side of your shot.

I had heard that about mammograms after covid shots. I forgot to mention it to the radiology place, but then they'd sent me a text to schedule it online and I didn't get to speak with anyone. I had to call them to schedule a DEXA bone density, which I am expected to get every two years. They usually schedule it for about 15 minutes before the mammogram, but this time I had to schedule it for the following week.

I did have the Moderna shot last Monday and will have the mammogram this Thursday, 10 days apart.

I don't think it is combined, just given at the same time. Mom got both flu and Covid booster today. Separate shots but she got them in the same arm (her choice). I got the Covid today as my doc's office did the flu shot last week. So our household is done.
