Chillax sounds like a millennial portmanteau. Here's a site that explores the millennial fascination with them. Especially cronuts. Ever had one? Don't think I have.

I've had cronuts at a couple of places around here. The 49th Parallel Coffee had the best of the ones I've tried. It was positively sweetilicious (a word that one of my nieces is very fond of).

I kind of like the way a glyph became a portmanteau, though. Good one PoP. Now I'm trying to make a word to describe the process. Wracking my brain... Nothing's coming to me.

Possibly, but it's general. Could apply to anything. Have you got something that would work specifically with a symbol becoming a word?

Ooh. Maybe portmanglyphics? Combining portmanteau with hieroglyphics.

I like my son's goldendoodle. Though many of those portmanteau dog names are enough to make me a member of the bitterati.
