I have disabled pinch to change font size. Noticed that the font size was sometimes changing between reading sessions, I think it was the sleep cover causing it...

I've disabled it too as it's quite slow & cumbersome on an e-ink screen. I wish rather than changing the font size directly, Kobo would implement a slider that pops up with the gesture where the font can be adjusted.

Kobo already has that. The gestures are two taps.

I, too, miss this pinch gesture for the font size. And there is no option in the settings. Updating to this firmware version was the first thing I did after I got my Libra 2. But I also did apply the one or other patch. But that shouldn't be a problem, right?

Has the device updated to firmware version 4.33.19759? If not, sync it again and it should find the update. For some reason, there is a two-step update for the Libra 2. When a Libra 2 is being set up, either when new or after a factory reset, it will update to 4.30.18838. Then, when it syncs again, it will update to 4.33.19759. If you haven't let the device sync since setting it up, then it will not be on 4.33.19759 and won't have the pinch gesture for the font size.

In that case, the pinch gesture should be there. The option is in the Reading settings as part of the "Onscreen Controls". It should be the first option under the tap control choices.

Pinch to change the font size does work on my Libra 2. But there is a bug in this where it changes the slider position for line height (or is it margins). But it's not changing the on screen setting. But if you got o put the slider back to where it was, it will change until you get it where is was.

That's strange. Have you restarted since the update? Are you patching the firmware?

You could try manually applying the update. That can fix some strange things. Another way would be to downgrade to 4.33.19608 or earlier and update again. |

Just to report that I have had a random restart on my Libra 2 with this firmware 4.33.19759.

It's just over a fortnight since I installed it, and this is the first. Nothing special on it, just your standard patch and nickel clock, only about a dozen books. Not connected to the net since installing it, just read a couple of books, turning on and off (sleep) by opening and closing the cover. Was quietly reading to myself just now when it restarted as I was halfway down a page, not turning or doing anything else. Oh dear me!
